Current Projects
- Gardening - indoor and outdoor
- Tree Trimming - this is ongoing, trimming off parasitic
mistletoe
- Native Plant Restoration - now that the fence is up,
this can begin. There are several native plants which
produce food.
Future Projects - Note, these could all
be current projects if someone sees one of these and is
inspired about it.
General:
- Solar-powered foot-lights for walkways.
- Completion of walkway around property.
- Solar water heater.
- Wind generator.
Raven Tabernacle:
- Shutters - Very important in summer to keep sun from
over-heating the cabin, would also protect windows
- Ceiling material - Currently have rafters and insulation
material exposed, a little more rustic than desired, though
quite livable
- Floor material - As mentioned on wish list - sustainable
wood, or perhaps stone tile in public area, maybe carpet
for meditation and/or guest rooms.
- Indoor slats between logs - could use custom-cut wood
pieces as with outside, then chinking material, or perhaps
masonary cement. This will help insulate the cabin.
- Loft windows - glass purchased - need to make tracks
so they'll slide, will improve insulation upstairs as
well as venting in summer.
- Step railings for steps going into cabin.
- Trim around windows and doors - will look nicer and
help with insulation.
- Trim above unevenly cut knotty pine in main living area.
- Roof maintenance
- Outdoor Lighting - Motion-detected, with xtra solar
power and batteries, also able to turn on manually.
